I am part geek, part gayak (musician). The others are left as an exercise to me. I firmly believe that the way to happiness is self discovery (i...?) and continual improvement.
The logo derives from this philosophy: (i + ? = .S`)

(In my quest of self discovery, I seek clarity, a clear sense of identity, polish and pizzazz. Incidentally, these qualities are also evident in the evolution of this website's design!)

My wife, Meghana Chitale-Ranade, is an Electronics and Telecommunications Engineer. She is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in EE at Santa Clara University, California.
She provides ample inspiration for self discovery (and more importantly, self improvement!)

My father, Dilip M. Ranade is a Principal Development Manager at Microsoft Corp.. Before, he has managed engineering teams in Symantec Corp, Veritas Software India Ltd, etc. He received his B.Tech from I.I.T Powai (Mumbai) and an M.Tech. from University of Pune. He has authored "Shared Data Clusters" (John Wiley & Sons (2002)), several papers and patents.

My mother, Mridula D. Ranade is a M.Sc. Zoology and Ph.D. in Education. Currently a Reader in the Post Graduate Department of Education, S.N.D.T University. Pune, she has consistently been a University rank-holder. She has presented several papers in national and international conferences.

Shripad and Anagha Chitale, my parents-in-law, know a great deal about milk ;-)
